I would like to thank the Churchill Fellowship, as I have been successful in gaining funding from their Covid-19 fund for 2022-23.
For the last 20 years I have travelled to rehabs, prisons, and other services where people are ‘in recovery’. I’ve presented my story with music(discursive music therapy). In 2011 I was awarded the Winston Churchill travel fellowship. I went to the USA (East to West) to find out how music is used in the treatment of addiction.
The funding for this year has been enabling me to visit treatment services, prisons and recovery communities. Over the last couple of years I have recorded 24 interviews with people who have changed their lives, and are now in recovery (these podcasts are available on this website as well as my Facebook page ‘Recovery Today’. I’ll continue this project.
My website here at www.recoverytoday.co.uk offers:
- Information for people trying to access treatment in the public sector.
- I also keep a (b)log of the various places I visit throughout the year.
